Based upon S. Prokofyeva’s play “A Conversation Without Witness”. Irina Kupchenko (“Lonely Woman Seeks Lifetime Companion”) and Mikhail Ulyanov (“The Rifleman of the Voroshilov Regiment”) in a sad story directed by Nikita Mikhalkov (“Burnt by the Sun”) about two people who once loved each other. The actors’ brilliant performance makes you hang on every word. As astonishing is the direction: you feel as though you watch a theatre production.
