Zinoviy Moiseevich Vysokovskiy rodilsya 28 noyabrya 1932 goda v Taganroge. S zolotoy medal'yu okonchil shkolu. V 1956 godu okonchil Taganrogskiy radiotehnicheskiy institut, poluchiv diplom inzhenera, posle chego otpravilsya v Moskvu i postupil v teatral'noe uchilische imeni B.V.Schukina. Akter igral na scene Moskovskogo teatra miniatyur, 21 god prorabotal v Moskovskom teatre satiry. Odna iz samyh udachnyh ego teatral'nyh roley - doktor Bartolo v spektakle "Bezumnyy den', ili Zhenit'ba Figaro". Iz teatra satiry Zinoviy Vysokovskiy ushel posle smerti Andreya Mironova, vystupal na e'strade. V poslednee vremya akter igraet na scene Teatra Antona Chehova. Ogromnuyu izvestnost' prines Vysokovskomu televizionnyy kabachok "13 stul'ev", vyhodivshiy na TV s 1966 po 1980 gody i gde akteru dostalas' maska pana Zyuzi. V kino naibolee znachitel'nye roli on sygral v fil'mah "Zhivye i mertvye" (1963) i "Druz'ya i gody" (1965).
