Oleg Mishin nachal zanimatsya muzykoy s 6 let i uzhe v 1984 godu okonchil muzykalnuyu shkolu. V 1988 godu Oleg Mishin okanchivaet GMU im.Gnesinykh po klassu fleyty. V etot period on takzhe ovladevaet igroy na fortepiano, izuchaet muzykalno-teoreticheskie distsipliny i priobretaet pervye opyty solnogo ispolnitelstva na fleyte. Na poslednikh kursakh nachinaetsya seryoznoe uvlechenie gitaroy i rok-muzykoy. Togda zhe pervymi gruppami-vospitatelyami Olega Mishina stanovyatsya: Accept, Dio, Metallica, Kiss, Judas Prist, Yngwie Malmsteen. V techenie dvukh let Oleg prokhodit srochnuyu sluzhbu v pyatom orkestre shtaba LenVO (g. Leningrad), gde pomimo igry na fleyte ottachivaet masterstvo igry na gitare.
