Yurij Gal'cev rodilsya 12 aprelya 1961 goda v Kurgane. Okonchil Kurganskij mashinostroitel'nyj institut, odnako studentom vozglavil mestnyj agitteatr "KMI". Zatem on postupil v Leningradskij institut teatra, muzyki i kinematografii. So vtorogo kursa Yurij Gal'cev rabotal v "Teatre-buff", byl v komande "Gruppa tovarischej" Igorya Ugol'nikova, potom pereshel k Romanu Karcevu, zatem vystupal v sostave "Licedeev". Izvestnost' artist poluchil v konce 1990-h godov, blagodarya uchastiyu v ryade televizionnyh yumoristicheskih peredach. Nyne e'tot prekrasnyj komik, e'kscentrik i master groteska, - odin iz samyh populyarnyh artistov Sankt-Peterburga. Sredi nagrad Yuriya Gal'ceva - Gran-pri Vserossijskogo konkursa artistov e'strady, priz festivalya "Zolotoj Ostap", prizy mezhdunarodnogo konkursa klounady i pantomimy. V 2000 godu on udostoilsya zvaniya "Luchshij akter goda". V kino Yurij Gal'cev nachinal s e'pizodicheskih rolej v kartinah "Dzhek Vos'merkin - amerikanec", "Shizofreniya", zatem posledovali "Lyubov' zla", "Pro urodov i lyudej", "Bobaka Saskervilej". Snimalsya on takzhe i v teleserialah "Ulicy razbityh fonarej (Novye priklyucheniya mentov)" i "Agent nacional'noj bezopasnosti".
