Chulpan Nailevna Hamatova rodilas' v 1975 godu v Kazani, v sem'e inzhenerov. V detstve ona zanimalas' figurnym kataniem, a s vos'mogo klassa uchilas' v matematicheskoy shkole pri Kazanskom universitete. Posle shkoly Chulpan Hamatova neskol'ko mesyacev prouchilas'v finansovo-e'konomicheskom institute, a potom ushla ottuda i postupila v Kazanskoe teatral'noe uchilische, a zatem nachala uchit'sya v GITISe, na kurse Alekseya Borodina. Posle okonchaniya GITISa (RATI) aktrisa god prorabotala v Rossiyskom molodezhnom teatre, a potomushla "v svobodnoe plavanie". Nyne Chulpan Hamatova vystupala na scenah neskol'kih moskovskih teatrov - krome Molodezhnogo, gde ona sygrala Dunyu Raskol'nikovu v "Prestuplenii i nakazanii" i Annu Frank v "Dnevnike Anny Frank", ona igrala v "Teatre Luny", v Teatre Antona Chehova (Katya v "Poze e'migranta"), v "Sovremennike" (Patriciya v "Treh tovarischah"), v Central'nom detskom teatre, v "Nezavisimoy antreprize" ("Sil'viya").
V kino Chulpan Hamatova nachala snimat'sya na tret'em kurse - ee priglasil na rol' Kati v kartine "Vremya tancora" rezhisser Vadim Abdrashitov. Rol' Rity v fil'me Valeriya Todorovskogo "Strana gluhih" stala dlya nee poistine zvezdnoy - i zriteli, i kritiki priznali ee odnoy iz samyh talantlivyh molodyh aktris otechestvennogo kino. V chisle drugih fil'mov s uchastiem Hamatovoy - nemeckie lenty "Tuvalu" F.Hel'mera i "Angliya" A.fon Borisa, nedavno vyshedshiy na e'krany fil'm Bahtiera Hudoynazarova "Lunnyy papa", kartina A.Kravchuka "Rozhdestvenskaya misteriya".
