The first full-length feature film by the great Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky.

The 12-year-old Ivan’s childhood ended the day the Fascists shot his mother and sister right before his eyes. Ivan’s father was killed in the war. The orphaned boy joins an army detachment, becoming an elusive scout. Risking his life, he brings to his commanders invaluable information about the enemy. But one day he does not come back from his mission…
