Russian Cinema Council (RUSCICO) has the honor to present you a new great project. Master class and a concert of worldwide famous Borodin Quartet playing Beethoven and Shostakovich for the first time ever appear on DVD in Dolby Digital 5.1.
The program is a 2-disc set: a concert of the Borodin Quartet and the master class of the Quartet leader, maestro Berlinsky. Special features of the edition include interviews with the Quartet's musicians, photos from their personal archives, interview with Shostakovich widow and Berlinsky's students. This is one of the first records made in Dolby Digital 5.1 in a concert hall with perfect acoustics.

DVD 1:
Concert: String Quartet No. 2 in A major, op. 68; Beethoven: String Quartet No. 8 in E minor, op. 59, Razumovsky No. 2.
Borodin Quartet: Ruben Aharonian (violin 1), Andrei Abramenkov (violin 2), Igor Naidin (viola), Valentin Berlinsky (cello).

DVD 2:
Master class: String Quartet No. 8 in C minor, op. 110; Beethoven: String Quartet No. 4 in C minor, op. 18.
Valentin Berlinsky, Dominant Quartet: Do Phuong Nhu (violin 1), Ekaterina Pogodina (violin 2), Anna Sazonkina (viola), Tatiana Egorova (cello).
